Color concealer neutralizes undesirable colors on your face. Like the redness from acne or brown from dark eyes cycles. Neutralizing colors are colors that appear opposite on the color wheel. For example- blue neutralizes orange, green neutralizes red. So in order to cover redness from rosacea you would cover it with a green concealer. If you just use a concealer a lighter than your skin tone, you won't conceal the problem because the red or blue tones will shine through. Color correcting can reduce wrinkle and erase dark spot, so always neutralize the flaw first.
When picking a color corrector, it is important to remember the depth of the chosen shade is also important. For example, if you have dark skin, select a deeper shade of green. A very light shade of green would have too much white in it and will be too light for dark skin.
Primers come in different colors to address specific skin problems.
